Ingredients: – 3 tablespoons butter, divided – 2 apples, peeled and sliced – 3 eggs – ½ cup milk – ½ cup flour – 2 tablespoons sugar – ¼ teaspoon salt – Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Peel and cut the apples into thin slices.  A sweet/tart apple such as Honeycrisp or Pink Lady is a good choice here. You can use Granny Smith if you'd like, too!

Whisk together one tablespoon melted butter, eggs, milk, flour, sugar, and salt until smooth.

Melt the remaining two tablespoons of butter in a cast iron pan in the oven. Add the apples and toss to coat. Bake the apples for 5 minutes at 400°F, then arrange in a pattern if you'd like.

Pour the batter over the baked apples, and bake for another 17–20 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges. Dust with powdered sugar.
