Ingredients: – 1 lb short pasta like ziti, penne, or rigatoni  – 4 cups marinara sauce  – 1 lb uncooked Italian sausage  – 2½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese – 1 cup ricotta cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions. While the pasta is cooking, sauté the Italian sausage until cooked through, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks. 

Add the marinara, ricotta, and pasta to the sausage.  Stir to combine. Transfer half of the mixture to a 13x9 inch pan. Top with half of the mozzarella. Repeat.  Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

You can also freeze the dish before baking it.  Wrap in plastic wrap and foil, then freeze for up to 2 months.
