The cake starts with a no-bake graham cracker crust.  Just graham cracker crumbs and melted butter!

Then a mixture of cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and crushed pineapple.

Next comes a layer of thinly sliced bananas. I used three medium bananas to cover the whole pan.

Then a layer of Cool Whip goes over the top.  You can also use homemade whipped cream if you'd like.

Top the cake with chopped pecans and chopped maraschino cherries.

Cut into slices, and drizzle each slice with chocolate sauce (I used Hershey's).
