– 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
– 4 tablespoons butter
– 2 oz unsweetened chocolate
– ½ cup granulated sugar
– ½ cup milk
– ¼ cup flour
– 2 tablespoons corn syrup
– 1 teaspoon vanilla
– ½ teaspoon salt
– 3 eggs
– 1 cup chopped nuts
Place the butter and unsweetened chocolate
in a large bowl.
Microwave, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate has melted.
Whisk in the sugar, milk, flour, corn syrup, vanilla, salt, and eggs until smooth.
Fold in the nuts with a spatula (substitute chocolate chips if you prefer).
Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 350°F for
30–35 minutes.
Serve while still slightly warm, topped with ice cream, hot fudge, and sprinkles.
More topping ideas: whipped cream, chopped pecans, caramel sauce, mini M&Ms.
Tip:
Make this recipe even easier by using a boxed brownie mix instead of making your own
(I tried it with Ghirardelli).
Follow the baking time on the box for an 8x8 inch pan.
