Start by roasting the pears for maximum pear flavor!
Dice, toss with butter and a little salt, and roast until pears soften slightly.
Next, make the batter.
You'll need:
Butter
Sugar
Eggs
Vanilla
Flour
Baking soda and salt
Buttermilk
Then the crumbly streusel!
You'll need:
Butter
Flour
Brown sugar
Ground ginger
Slivered almonds
Stir the roasted pears into the batter, pour into a loaf pan, and top with the streusel.
Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. I love serving this with a little salted butter.
