You'll need: Pecans Sugar Corn Syrup Salt Baking Soda Water

Place the sugar, pecans, corn syrup, water, and salt in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.  Cook until the mixture reaches 290°F.

Stir in the baking soda. The mixture will foam and bubble.  Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Quickly spread the mixture into an even layer on the prepared baking sheet. I like using an offset spatula to spread it.
