Ingredients:
– 1 (16 oz) disk pizza dough
(I used Trader Joe’s)
– 5 oz thinly sliced pepperoni
– 1¼ cups shredded mozzarella
– ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
– 1 egg, beaten
– For dipping: marinara sauce
Remove the pizza dough from the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
This makes it easier to roll out.
Roll the dough out to a 16x8 inch rectangle.
Spread with the sauce, then top with the pepperoni, cheese, and oregano.
Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into 1½ inch slices.
I used the width of the pepperoni as a guide.
Roll each slice up tightly lengthwise and place seam-side down on a baking sheet.
Beat the egg in a small bowl, and brush the beaten egg over each of the pepperoni rolls.
Bake at 400°F for
18–20 minutes, or until
golden brown.
Let cool slightly before
serving with marinara
sauce for dipping.
