Ingredients: – 10 slices thick-cut white bread (like Texas toast) – 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese – 12 eggs – 1 cup milk – 1 cup sugar – ½ cup maple syrup – To serve: more maple syrup

Spray a 13x9 inch dish with cooking spray.  Cut the bread into 1-inch pieces and place half of it in the pan.  Cube the cream cheese and place it on top. Put the remaining bread on top.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, and maple syrup.

Pour the mixture over the bread, cover, and place in the refrigerator. Let the casserole sit for at least 2 hours or overnight.

When you’re ready to bake the casserole, uncover it and place it in a 375°F oven.  Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center no longer jiggles and the top is golden brown in spots.

Serve with additional maple syrup for drizzling!
