Old Fashioned Oatmeal Cake

You'll need: Quick oats (“minute” oats) Boiling water Butter & eggs Brown sugar & granulated sugar All-purpose flour Salt & Baking soda Ground cinnamon & nutmeg Heavy whipping cream  Shredded coconut  Chopped nuts Vanilla extract

Add oats and butter to boiling water. Let sit for 20 minutes.

In another bowl, whisk eggs, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together.

Then whisk the oat mixture into the batter.

In another bowl, combine dry ingredients and then fold them into the batter.

Bake cake in greased pan until inserted toothpick comes out clean. Meanwhile, mix together topping ingredients.
