Old Fashioned Salmon Patties

You'll need: Canned salmon Onion Egg Flour Baking powder Salt Oil for frying

Whisk the egg in a large bowl. Add the drained salmon, chopped onion, flour, and salt. Stir to combine.

Whisk the baking powder with two tablespoons of the juice from the can of salmon. This will create that light and crispy exterior!

Stir the baking powder mixture into the salmon mixture. Form into patties.

Fry in hot oil for 2–3 minutes, then flip and fry for an additional 2 minutes, or until golden brown.

Homemade tartar sauce tastes amazing with these! You'll need mayo, onion, olives, pickles, parsley, and capers. Chop everything finely and stir to combine.

Serve the salmon patties with the tartar sauce for dipping (bottled tartar sauce or Caesar dressing works great, too).  For the full recipe, click "get the recipe" below!
