Preheat oven to 425°F. Place parchment paper or a silicone baking mat on a sheet pan.
In a large bowl, stir together the Bisquick, milk, and cheddar until a dough forms. Drop the dough into 2 tablespoon sized mounds onto the baking sheet. You’ll get 8–10 biscuits.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
While the biscuits are baking, stir together the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush the mixture over the biscuits as soon as they get out of the oven.
Serve while warm.
Notes
Do not over mix the dough, or the biscuits won't be as soft! Variations: add 2 sliced green onions, 3 strips of crumbled cooked bacon, and/or 1 tablespoon of fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme) to the dough. The biscuits will keep at room temperature for 4–5 days in a tightly sealed container. You can also freeze them for up to 3 months. Re-warm biscuits by placing them in a 350°F oven for 3–4 minutes.
