To serve: graham crackers and assorted fruit such as apple slices, banana slices, raspberries, and strawberries
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese and softened butter in a large bowl. Mix on high with a hand mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla, powdered sugar, brown sugar, and pinch of salt. Mix on low with a hand mixer until combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips. Transfer to a serving bowl, and serve with assorted fresh fruit and graham crackers for dipping.
Notes
It is important that the butter and cream cheese are softened before making this recipe. Otherwise, the dip will be lumpy. Leave them out at room temperature for two hours to soften them before starting. Don't have mini chocolate chips? Regular sized chocolate chips work, too. Make it ahead: you can make this recipe up to one day in advance of serving it. Cover and refrigerate, then take it out 1–2 hours before you plan to serve it, to allow it to soften for dipping.I don't recommend freezing this dip—it'll turn chunky instead of creamy.
