4boneless pork chopsabout 1½ lbs, you can also use bone-in
1tablespoonbrown sugar
1teaspoonpaprika
1¼teaspoonssalt
½teaspoongarlic powder
½teaspoononion powder
½cupbarbecue sauce + more for serving
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Place pork chops in a baking dish.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Sprinkle the mixture onto the pork chops on both sides.
Pour the barbecue sauce over the pork chops. Bake for 28–33 minutes for regular-cut boneless pork chops, or until the pork registers 145°F in the center. Let rest for 3 minutes, then serve.
If the pork chops are thin-cut, bake for 22–25 minutes. If thicker, bake for 35–37 minutes.
Notes
If you're using bone-in pork chops, add 5 minutes to the baking time.If you're using thick-cut or bone-in pork chops, add more bbq sauce around the edges of the pan halfway through baking time, to avoid the bbq sauce caramelizing around the edges of the pan. Leftovers can be kept for 4–5 days in the refrigerator. Reheat in the microwave or in the oven.
